Cacao Meditation + Quantum Facility Teach-In

South Shore

A cacao meditation using hand-processed Jamaican chocolate tea (cacao) to build loving connections rooted in communal advocacy, paired with a teach-in (with South Side Together) on the Quantum facility being built in South Shore and the fight to protect local waters. Cacao is an Indigenous plant medicine of Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Meditation ~1 hour from 12:30 PM, then community conversation. Part of proceeds support detained-migrant legal funds.

Conductor’s note

A Jamaican cacao ceremony on the South Shore lakefront, plus a teach-in on what's being built in the neighborhood.

$15-60, sliding scalefearofablackfemme (Naomi & Ericka) with South Side Together
